Thank you for your interest in our webcast "Preparing for the new Chinese IT regulations” webcast. This event will be held online on Thursday, 22 September 2022 from 10:00 to 11:00 CEST.
In response to a booming cloud computing market in China and Europe, regulations around these services are becoming increasingly complex. Companies are also facing increasing challenges from complex internal requirements. Failure to meet these challenges and comply with new regulations may lead to sanctions being imposed by regulators.
This webcast is intended to provide you with the knowledge and tools you need to address these challenges. Experts Eiko Ermold and Jingyi Zuo from PwC China’s Cloud Competence Centre will be on hand to summarise the laws related to cybersecurity compliance to help multinational companies gain an up-to-date overview of the Chinese regulatory environment. The webcast will be split into three main sections:
Overview and latest Chinese regulations regarding cybersecurity
Detailed introduction to the Chinese Cybersecurity Law (CSL), Data Security Law (DSL), Personal Information Protection Law (PIPL) and the Multi-Level Protection Scheme 2.0 (MLPS 2.0). This section will also explain how these regulations relate to one another, and what multinational companies need to do to ensure compliance.
Comparison of GDPR and PIPL: this section will cover the similarities between the PIPL and the GDPR to help you get a better understanding of the Chinese requirements.
